It often begins in childhood and may continue into adulthood. ADHD is not only about being “hyper” or “distracted.”” It affects attention, behavior, and emotional control. It also changes how a person thinks. There are three main types of ADHD: Inattentive type : Trouble focusing, following instructions, or staying organized. Hyperactive-impulsive type : Excessive movement, fidgeting, and impulsive behavior. Combined type : A mix of both inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive symptoms.
